Throw away the used solution.
Dilution Ruhof suggests diluting Endozime brand detergents only with water. Avoid using strong oxidants like disinfectants, bleaches, glutaraldehyde, as they can stop the enzymes from working and make the product useless. The dilution rates on the bottle are for the best cleaning results. Using a higher dilution won't damage the instruments, but a lower one might lead to improper cleaning.
Temperature Range Our Endozime brand detergents work well in automated washers between 80°F and 150°F, with 110°F being the best. For manual cleaning, the range is 65°F to 105°F, and 85°F is optimal. While the detergents work at all temperatures, at low temps, the enzyme activity slows down, and at very high temps, the enzymes die. The detergents can be stored between 32°F and 150°F but should be at room temperature before use.
Storage Store at temperatures between 60°F and 90°F. If it freezes in cold weather, it won't lose its effectiveness as long as it's brought back to room temperature. All Ruhof enzymatic detergents last for 3 years, with expiration dates on each bottle.
Soak TimesSoak for 2 to 5 minutes (2 minutes for lightly soiled and 5 minutes for heavily soiled). Follow the manufacturer's guidelines if they suggest longer soaking. Soaking longer than 2 - 5 minutes won't harm the instruments, but soaking overnight can cause rust. Don't soak for more than 8 hours. Scopes can soak longer, but follow the manufacturer's cleaning and disinfection guidelines.
Product LifeOnce diluted, the unused solution stays effective for up to 1 week. After cleaning, discard it daily. It's best to change the solution after each use for safety and to prevent cross - contamination. An opened container stays effective until the expiration date if properly sealed or with a drum pump attached.
