Using your portable fan diffuser is easy. First, if you're using the battery - operated mode, insert four AA batteries (which you'll need to buy separately). If you prefer, you can use the included AC adapter to plug it in. Next, place a drop of your favorite aromatherapy oil on one of the included replacement pads. Then, put the scented pad in the diffuser. Turn on the diffuser, and the natural fan will spread the lovely scent around. When using in a hotel room, just place it on a flat surface. As for maintenance, keep the diffuser clean. Wipe it gently with a dry cloth from time to time. And remember, store the replacement pads in a cool, dry place. Also, make sure to turn off the diffuser when you're not using it to save battery life if you're on battery - powered mode.
